2024 Sunday Services every 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month - Open to the public
These events are a place for community members to gather and connect, share experiences and cultivate skills and wisdom-teachings associated with individual and collective practices.
We emphasize a welcoming atmosphere and comfort (and there are a variety of seating options to partake in). Please practice self-care as necessary.
We start with a few minutes of “housekeeping” regarding pertinent informational announcements, organizational mission and tenants,
then a moment to honor and acknowledge the rites and Sacraments. This includes Communion Rites for Temple Members.
This is followed by a period of offerings by a Guest Musician: (dancing and movement are optional) or a community-lead singing circle (singing is optional).
The second half of the Service we offer either a Guest Presenter to speak at this time, or to host a curated reading of educational/inspirational literature, or a facilitated workshop.
We close with a prayer for gratitude and healing.
Lastly, before we depart, we take a few minutes for announcements.
We look forward to gathering together in community with you!
Imbolc Candlemakers Event
You are cordially invited to join us Saturday, February 1st, for a sacred service and enchanting candle-making afternoon.
Imbolc marks the halfway point between winter solstice (Yule) and spring equinox (Ostara), and is celebrated in traditional agrarian (and pagan) communities as a Festival marking the ending of winter, the onset of spring and the returning of the light.
The word "Imbolc" means "in the belly of the Mother," because the seeds of spring are beginning to stir in the belly of Mother Earth. In traditions widely observed throughout Ireland, Scotland, the holiday is one of four Gaelic seasonal festivals, originally a pagan festival associated with the lambing season and the goddess Brigid or Brigit (meaning 'exalted one').
Historians suggest that the goddess Brigid was syncretized (integrated by merging of beliefs into a unified system) with the Christian saint of the same name. According to medievalist Pamela Berger, Christian monks "took the ancient figure of the mother goddess and grafted her name and functions onto her Christian counterpart," Brigid of Kildare, so much so that Brigit was considered the midwife of Christ and present at the birth.
February 2nd, is celebrated as Candlemas, when community would gather to make candles that would be used in lighting the services and sacred altars throughout the coming year. For Christians, the candles are symbolic of the incarnate Christ, the “anointed one”, a title representing the Light that enlightens every soul.
Before crafting, the priest blesses the candles, whose wax is the humming summer's work of countless bees. The flames of these candles will shed their light upon the altar in future days, and help us to realize, this day and every day, that our own daily work—if it is done for love, and in union with the benefit of our natural and kindred communities—will be a supernatural work, and will shine brightly for all eternity; a symbol of the Light shining in the darkness of this world.
Join us, and help us to live in that Light, to make it our own, and to kindle it in the souls of others, increasing the area of light and lessening the darkness in the World.
We invite you to join us in this sacred space to celebrate and create the light of the coming year.
The event will be hosted at Dawnstar Lodge, 9416 Miller Creel Rd, 59803, on February 1st, 2-6pm. Seats are $15 each, which covers the cost of materials, and each participant can take home a sacred candle

Sunday Service (open to all!)
Public Sunday Service: December 1, 3-4:30pm
Greetings and Blessings!
The nights are growing longer and the edge of peace, for so many, is elusive and just out of reach- so many uncertainties of the future unfolding! Winter itself is a trying time for our communities, as war continues to try our relatives of the greater world. We hold gratitude for all we have, celebrate all we have to share, and know that there is a Great Power beyond all feeling of separateness.
As we prepare our heart-minds and homes for the coldest months, the coming holidays, a New Year and new cycles, we recognize this as a vital moment to gather, take refuge, and resonate with our collective power to dream potentials into realities.
We graciously invite you to gather with us at the DawnStar Lodge (“the yurt”), this Sunday, Dec. 1st, from 3-4:30pm, to give voice to our prayers and dreams! We will create a temporary community altar of “DreamPower,” and welcome everyone to bring items that symbolize this power and what we dream of manifesting for the benefit of all. We will craft prayer ties in collaboration with our plant and mineral allies, as well as Prayer Pouches (sachet bags) that guests are invited to take home as personal blessings. We will also share in a powerful group meditation for peace, strength, hope, and bonding.
Many of us are perceptive of this time being like a collective Dark Night of the Soul. Let us take Heart, gather the radiant power of Love and offer our energy to a Collective New Dawn!
May you be well, and we hope to see you on Sunday!

Members & Seekers Gathering
Sunday: A Gathering for Temple Members & Seekers
Join us in giving thanks for Nature, Community and new possibilities.
We will be gathering in a potluck style this Sunday, November 17th, 3-5pm, at a Member's residence, 4540 South Ave W., to utilize the kitchen and dining areas for ease and comfort. Please bring a dish or snack to share - whatever intuition guides!
This is an opportunity for existing Members to mingle, and for those who are interested official Membership to inquire about services and complete the signup process.
We will be sharing about the updated Monthly Membership Packages, what is included in each tier, and how it will help support our community efforts and developments.
Regarding community development, updates, and goals:
We are in conversations about potential opportunities for renting or leasing a space in town to host many of our community meetings, meditations, events, and Sunday Services. Thank you for your patience as we continue to develop facilitation and hone our community offerings.
One of our long-term goals is a dedicated facility or shared space, where we would be able to offer space to other local groups with similar values and interests. A model for this is presented in this article; please feel free to read it at your leisure, as it discusses an actively working space similar to our own long-term goal:
https://www.berkeleyside.org/2023/01/02/psychedelic-church-sacred-garden-alameda-county
In this article, "The Portal Community Center" is similar to what we are envisioning, as it is their active location "where members meet, that is dedicated to serving Entheogenic-focused groups.” Their regular "Satsangs" are the equivalent of our public Sunday Services.
This would be a foundation to help provide valuable services and support for the community, to help engage, educate, and expand offerings. It would also require financial support from our community, by utilizing resource and support services, and by considering making tax-deductible nonprofit contributions to the Temple. Monthly Membership offerings and tiers, as well as donations at regular public Services, support both long-term goals and short-term development.
Deepest gratitude for your support and participation as we continue to grow and expand our offerings and services. Who knows what the future holds?! We are very happy you are here.
We will keep you updated on developments, and we hope to see you this Sunday!

Sunday Service
Greetings, beautiful community,
As we celebrate the crossover of Autumn towards Winter, with celebrations like Diwali (the celebration of light being victorious over darkness) and All Hallows’ Eve (the celebration of the thinning of the veils and last harvest), the portals of passing and existence meet!
In honor of these holy days, also including Day of the Dead, All Souls and and All Saints Days, we would like to share with you some meaningful and seasonally appropriate offerings around death, dying, and ancestral remembrance.
This Sunday, November 3rd, 3pm-4:30, we will be gathering for a guided meditation and intentional closing of the seasonal cycle, entering the still space of the gestational potential of Winter.
We will be creating an altar as a community, so feel free to bring something special to place on it (which you can bring home afterward). We’ll be honoring our dearly departed, our beloved ancestors, and the intentional practices of remembering. All are invited to participate in a ceremonial burning of names, intentions, inscriptions, and prayers, within the flames of our community fire. For this ritual we will be gathering at Dawnstar Lodge (the yurt) to utilize the fireplace for this event.
We will also be sharing upcoming updates to schedule, offerings, and website. We look forward to seeing you all in sacred community this Sunday!

Presentation: Lisa Allen, MH: “The Astrology of Entheogens: The Moon & Neptune in our Charts” ( https://timingmagic.com )
The most important zodiac chart is our Natal Chart (Birth Chart). Knowing our Moon Sign is the first step in understanding the personal subconscious/unconscious ways we get our needs met physically as well as emotionally. In ancient astrology, the Moon rules dreams and memory, and is a reliable gateway to the otherworld.
Discovering our Moon's house placement can additionally reveal motivations toward bringing the subconscious into waking consciousness. Knowing one's lunar house placement, and aspects to the collective energy of the slow-moving planet Neptune, further help in our understanding of the "cosmic soup" we live in, and can represent everything that seems solid dissolving back into the All That Is.
Neptune, the modern ruler of Pisces, can illuminate illusions as well as deceptions. Ultimately, it is about embracing the Truth of All arriving from, and returning to, the Source. This realization is not meant to override healthy boundaries and individual sovereignty because each of us has a special frequency and purpose. Neptune helps us remember that our time in a body on Earth is a temporary experience.
Putting all of these pieces together, especially if any of these interrelate with one another, can help in understanding our journeys with entheogens for oneself as well as the collective. Join us for deepening and expanding astrological discoveries, and feel free to bring a notepad or even your Natal Chart if you have it! This presentation will also include a handout sheet.
